沈阳药科大学文体学院前身最早为1958年8月成立的基础部，2001年4月，学校对各学科进行了重新调整，成立基础学院，2012年4月，整合外语部、体育部和社科部成立社科与文体学院。2020年12月，社科部划分成立马克思主义学院，社科与文体学院更名为文体学院。
学院拥有一支教育功底扎实、治学严谨、爱岗敬业、甘于奉献的教师队伍。学院现有外语部、体育美育部两个教学机构，共有教职工86人，其中专任教师81人、教辅3人、教育管理2人，常任外籍教师4人。
外语教学秉承为学校“双一流”建设服务，满足学生多样化外语学习需要，努力培养学生国际胜任力、跨文化交际能力、语言综合运用能力、思辨能力和自主学习能力。外语部现有教授2人、副教授22人、讲师34人、助教1人。下设外语第一教研室、外语第二教研室、日语教研室和研究生教研室以及多媒体语音室，承担全校学生的英语和日语必修课、限定选修课和自由选修课的教学任务。我校是全国大学英语教学改革试点院校，现有省级精品课1门，省级一流本科课程5门。
体育美育部是学校人才培养“五育并举”全面发展的重要组织部门，承担着全校学生体育及美育公共基础课、专项课、选修课等课程任务以及训练与竞赛、群众体育、体育场馆运行与服务、艺术展演指导等工作。现有教授2人、副教授9人、讲师8人、助教3人，其中，国际裁判1人，国家级裁判2人。现有省级精品课1门，省级一流本科课程2门。
随着教育改革的不断深入，学院的师资队伍建设和教学科研能力得到了持续的提升。近年来共主编参编教材、专著等22部，承担省市各级课题43项，发表教改和科研论文120余篇，其中SCI 5篇、SSCI 4篇、EI 5篇，北大中文核心15篇，获得专利2项。先后获辽宁省教学成果二等奖1项、三等奖2项和多项国家、省级教学科研奖。
外语教学团队多次在“外研社杯”、“外教社杯”全国讲课大赛中荣获一等奖，多次在全国课件大赛上荣获一、二等奖；指导学生在国家、省市各类比赛中获奖百余次，曾获得“外研社杯”全国大学生写作大赛全国三等奖，辽宁赛区特等奖和一等奖，多次获得演讲大赛辽宁赛区一、二等奖，阅读大赛辽宁赛区一、二等奖，辩论大赛华北赛区三等奖，辽宁省日语写作大赛一、二等奖，多次获得沈阳及周边地区日语演讲比赛一、二等奖。
随着“阳光体育进校园”活动的开展，学校各运动项目代表队先后在全国、省大学生比赛上取得优异成绩。曾获2016年大学生街舞锦标赛沈阳赛区第二名和辽宁省第七名，2019年辽宁省大学生足球比赛沈阳赛区第四名，2020年全国青少年健身操技能大赛街舞推广套路一等奖，2021年辽宁省健康活力大赛全民健身操—有氧踏板规定套路三等奖，2021年中国“熊猫杯”慢投垒球企业联赛沈阳分站赛亚军，2021年辽宁省健康活力大赛示范套路二等奖，2021年辽宁省大学生排球锦标赛女子组第四名。1人多次获得国家CBA金哨奖。美育方面，教师曾指导学生获辽宁省高校网络歌手大赛三等奖、辽宁省大中小学生师生书法大赛三等奖、辽宁省庆祝建党百年美术作品二等奖等。

The predecessor of the School of Foreign Languages and Physical Education of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University was first established in August 1958 as the Department of Basic Courses. In April 2001, the university reorganized the disciplines and established School of Basic Courses, and in April 2012, the School of Social Sciences, Foreign Languages and Physical Education was established by integrating the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Physical Education and the Department of Social Sciences. In December 2020, the Department of Social Sciences was divided out to establish the School of Marxism, and the School of Social Sciences, Foreign Languages and Physical Education was renamed the School of Foreign Languages and Physical Education.
The school has a team of teachers with solid educational background, rigorous academic discipline, dedication and devotion. There are two teaching institutions: Foreign Language Department and Physical Education and Aesthetics Department, with 86 staff members, including 81 full-time teachers, 3 teaching assistants, 2 educational management staff and 4 permanent foreign teachers.
Foreign language teaching serves the "double first-class" construction of the university, meets the diversified foreign language learning needs of students, and strives to cultivate students' international competence, cross-cultural communication skills, comprehensive language skills, critical thinking skills and independent learning skills. The Department of Foreign Languages has 2 professors, 22 associate professors, 34 lecturers and 1 assistant teacher. The Department of Foreign Languages is composed of the First Teaching and Research Section, the Second Teaching and Research Section, Japanese Teaching and Research Section, Graduate Teaching and Research Section, and the Multimedia Voice Studio, which are responsible for teaching English and Japanese as compulsory courses, limited elective courses and free elective courses for all students. Our university is a national pilot institution for the reform of university English teaching. There is one provincial-level high-quality course and five provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses.
The Department of Physical & Aesthetic Education is an important organization department for the comprehensive development of the "five educations" of the university. It undertakes the tasks of public basic courses, special courses and elective courses of physical education and aesthetic education, as well as training and competition, public sports, stadium operation and service, and art performance guidance. There are 2 professors, 9 associate professors, 8 lecturers and 3 assistant teachers, including one international referee and two national referees. There is one provincial-level high-quality course and two provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses.
With the deepening of educational reform, the teaching team building and teaching and research capacity of the faculty have been continuously improved. In recent years, the teachers have been the chief editors and editors of more than 22 textbooks and monographs, undertaken more than 43 provincial and municipal projects, and published more than 120 educational reform and scientific research papers, including 5 SCI papers, 4 SSCI papers, 5 EI papers, 15 Chinese core journal criterion of PKU, and 2 patents. Plus, the teachers have won one second prize and two third prizes for Teaching Achievements in Liaoning Province and many national and provincial teaching and scientific research awards.
Foreign language teaching teams have won the first prize in FLTRP Cup and SFLEP Cup teaching contest for several times, and first and second prizes in the national contest of courseware for several times. The teachers have guided students who obtained the excellent results in FLTRP Cup National College Students' English Speaking, Writing, Reading and Debate Contest, including the third prize in the national contest of writing, special –class award and first prize of Liaoning province division, the first and second prizes of speech contest and reading contest of Liaoning province division, and the third prize of debate contest of North China division. The students also received the first and second prizes in Liaoning Japanese Writing Contest and the first and second prizes of Japanese speech competition in Shenyang and surrounding areas for many times.
With the development of "Sunshine Sports into Campus" activities, the school's sports teams have achieved excellent results in national and provincial university student competitions. They have won the second prize in Shenyang division of 2016 College Students Hip-hop Dance Championship and the seventh place in Liaoning Province, the fourth place in Shenyang Division of 2019 College Students Football Competition in Liaoning Province, the first prize of hip-hop promotion Routine in 2020 National Youth Aerobics Skills Competition, and the third prize of national Aerobics -- Aerobic pedal prescribed Routine in 2021 Liaoning Health and Vitality Competition，the Runner-up of Shenyang Branch competition of China "Panda Cup" Slow pitch Softball Enterprise League in 2021, second prize of Demonstration Set of Liaoning Health and Vitality Competition in 2021, and fourth place of Women's Group of Liaoning University Student Volleyball Championship in 2021. One of the teachers has won the National CBA Golden Whistle award for many times. In terms of aesthetic education, teachers have guided students to win the third prize in the Liaoning University Network Singing Competition, the third prize in the Liaoning University and Student Calligraphy Competition, and the second prize in the Liaoning Celebration of the Centenary of the Founding of the Party, etc.
Adhering to the school motto spirit of "unity, diligence, truth-seeking and innovation" and the spirit of "perseverance, medicine for the world", the school continues to focus on the fundamental task of establishing moral education and the overall strategic goal of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the university.
